I love this much-improved store. Non-Spanish speaking people should really give it a chance. The product selection is good. The fruit and vegetable selection is great and nicely presented. And the array of hot tamales is very good. Recommendation to the owner: host a "Get to Know Us!" event about once a month for gringos.
I came looking for a food item but couldn't find it anywhere. I asked one of the younger employees to point me where it could be found. He also hit a dead end but decided to take it a step further and call his manager to ask where it could be found. The manager then showed us where in the store we could find it and gave us a heads up to show up in its earliest hours so we are able to purchase this item while it's in full stock.
The prepared food is ... so... good! So authentic! Campeón is out of my way, but I shop there whenever possible because I can get hard to find produce and other products there. Plus, their bakery is wonderful! Churros and other pastries have just the right amount of sweetness, not "over the top caked in sugar" like other bakeries. And the staff is amazing! Always so kind and eager to help. I love this place!
Muy limpio y tienen muchisimas cosas. Area de guisados y postres, pasteleria, dulces mexicanos y frutas y verduras. Hay cosas que si estan elevadas en precio mas que en otras tiendas pero hay variedad.
Great market! Tiktok brought me here for the chicharron and guac which was delicious. I also saw at the salsa bar that they had chicken salad so I got that in addition to tostadas and jalapeño salsa verde. I will have to go back for the salsa verde!
